    What are these (from E60 fog light assembly)?

    Good afternoon.

    Could anyone tell me what these rubber hose things are that come as part of a fog light assembly?

    Context: I just installed new fog lights on my E60 but forgot to add these rubber parts on one side, and I only realised after I had put everything back together including the whole headlight assembly to get access to the fogs. I値l put them in next time I知 working on the car but I was just curious what they actually do?

    I think they are air vents to prevent condensation.

    Makes sense, although I知 still not really sure how they work. I致e installed them now anyway so I guess it痴 academic! I noticed there were similar rubber tube things at the back of the headlight assembly also.
