Anyone got an idea what cable is best to run the laptop to the TV

HDMI? I haven't a clue....

Laptop is ACER Aspire V5, I know that because it says it on the bottom

I use a hdmi cable just check and see what ports you have first or post a picture of the connections you have

if it has it, hdmi is probably the best bet, just got one myself last weeks off ebay (4.5m so reaches across the whole room) HDMI Cable - Ebay

As said HDMI if it has it as you will get sound over that also. Once connected you may need to adjust your display settings or else reboot the laptop when connected to the TV, sometimes it will auto-sense the screen size on reboot and adjust accordingly.
