It’s nice but I don’t see anything particularly special about it, or am I missing something?

Interestingly another example of a dealer advertising a car without an asking price. I do wonder if the market is going to change soon, and it’s a bit of a pain not knowing because I am in the market for a new car and I really have no idea what to do haha.

The most appealing feature of this particular car to me is the 4 doors lol, I must be getting overly practical in my old age!

Here's a nice looking E36 328i Sport Manual Vert and an NI car from new, hence just VRT due - anyone want to hazard a guess as to what that makey-uppey figure may be ?

No need for a makey uppy figure. These are on the Calculator (Statistical code 40385295) and VRT is €820 + NOx. The price isn't outrageous, but the devil is in the detail of an inspection I suppose.

That statistical code is for the coupe though, no ? Makey uppey is official terminology in VRT parlance as we know.....

If the same, it could potentially be a decent buy (as you say, inspection dependent)

Whoops.... Silly me! It is for the coupe.

However, the same VRT is shown for the Sport coupe (I checked for auto, but not all variants). If you look through the VRT manuals on the Revenue site, one way they get you to do their homework for them with cars not on the calculator is to get sample prices for similar or equivalent cars from UK CAP and Car Salesman's Guide. Given that these, or equivalents, are long gone out of those guides I'd say you could make a case that comparing this to Sport coupes in Autotrader, PH, etc. (or better still, classic auctions) would show that the conv. is worth less than an equivalent Sport coupe. I'd be fairly sure that a similar mile Sport would be notably more expensive than this. That would then allow you to argue that the current OMSP for a convertible should not exceed the Sport coupe, which is VRT minimum value of €2000.

But, I suppose, then, you are back in to makey uppey, but maybe with some evidence for your case?
