Chugging engine, flashing engine light! Help!

Well my engine light has been on for ages but got that read and it's just the lambda but then the light started flashing. Engine is chugging like a diesel and not much pick up in it. It's drivable but don't have a clue! Any ideas guys?

Yep very cheap ger i got 3 for herselfs car from the motor facts around 40 each for them check micksgarage i think there around 30e delivered

i cant guarentee it will fix your car as i havnt seen it and you havnt diagnosed but id say its most likely the problem very similar behaviour to when a coil pack does go

there plug and play very straightforward but you will need to know which one has failed

No worries man disconnect the battery high voltage ;-)

Do one reconnect start the car let it run for a few minutes then if it doesnt fix it do it again move onto the next one

I was just going to start the engine, take one out at a time to see if the running worsens or stays the same and the faulty one will be the one where no change happens when I take it out correct?!

You were right Gar. One of the coils were fucked so decided to change the 4 of them. Got Bosch ones for €37 incl. VAT each so can't go wrong. In and out in 5 minutes ( I swear I'm normally longer than that!!!!)
    Cheers for the help!
