If you are a button pusher like me avoid the little orange one in the ceiling above the rear view mirror ,ended.up ringing emergency services

Been there and I had no phone in the car at the time, so how does it work? anyone know? (There must be a sim for emergency calls in the dash somewhere and a two way speaker for them to talk back to you)Originally Posted by mac7

Got a new credit card driving license. Cost nothing too - I asked the NDLS to change my name by removing my middle name and they agreed. Hopefully Hertz in the US will stop looking at me funny now
That said... the NDLS are so utterly hopeless that they issued a brand new license free of charge without changing the name on it
Christ, that's poor. Scary the terrible service provided by some of these outlets. To remove your middle name, did you just complete form D401 and pop into your local NDLS centre?Originally Posted by nsheridan
Complete the form and go to the NDLS with the following:Originally Posted by ciars
- Current driving licence
- Proof of ID - passport - they will not accept the current licence as ID. wtf.
- Proof of address. I brought a gas bill.
- Proof of PPSN. I have no idea why they want this but they do so bring a P60 or payslip or tax cert or something else with your name and PPSN on.
Changing your personal details like name or address or organ donor status is free. I asked about changing my name to match my passport and they said sure. Took 3 weeks (and 2 hours of queueing in Naas) but the new one turned up yesterday. On one hand I got what I wanted but on the other I feel like I should complain and demand they fix it. What do.
