How is it a stupid option :huh: a stupid option would not be supplying a manual option like in the e60 and f10 some people would still prefer a manual john not everyone is gone auto mad
You gain 0.2 seconds by having dct over manual hardly slowing it down unless you drive the car on the limit daily "unlikely" if thats the case and tenths count an r35 gtr should be chosen instead
Manuals are a thing of the past Gar.
Theres no way anyone can extract the full potential out of these cars if they are shifting gears themselves.
Its a stupid option because all it does is restrict the full performance of the car.
And people would prefer a manual in an E60 because the SMG3 gearbox is possibly the single worst thing BMW have ever put in one of thier cars.
The new DCT and Autoboxes are in a different league than the old SMG and autoboxes.
I still think people should be given the choice as the simplicity of the old manual box and clutch is hard to ignore
I dont like the idea of being forced into a decision by bmw like eliminating the bootspace forcing you to run runflats , its just nice to have the option and let each individual driver decide what they want ,I haven't driven a car dct so cant comment but I still want them to include the manual box in the future
To have an option of manual is very nice,
