Agree with the power and emissions ratings on the BMW's. It was in relation to the two nearest German competitors - the C AMG and RS4 - and the actual headline power figures. The new C-class is about to be launched and I reckon the AMG version when it comes online could go stratospheric with the BHP. Thought the RS4 had a higher output than the V8 M3 so even with a modest BHP increase for the F80, it will still be close to the RS4 BHP. No?

The RS6 is another kettle of fish because even if they did drop the power, 552 horses (or whatever it is) is more than enough.

The new M3 will probably be a better driver but the marketing men I think will play on the BHP figures.
