first fail ,today got in 520d E60 2008 car ,had over 100k km ,and with few main dealers stamps .So what we found in air box
air filter in car still from new with date 17.12.07 and fuel filter ?/?/08

Dam that air filter looks bad.
Incredible! 5 years and still on original filter. It would make you wonder what the rest of the car is like if such a simple and cheap consumable was not replaced.

So he brought it to dealer for servicing and they never changed it ?
it was with dealers few times in his ownership .Now he will never be back this way
