my problem is I live in a stone house where the walls are 3 to 4 ft thick and the only way I can get internet for my lads xbox is by running a Ethernet extension through the attic and down into his room which is fine and works perfect,now he got a ipad for xmas and has to go to different part of the house for wifi which is a pain,is there anyway I can use the xbox as a wifi hotspot or is there some kind of adaptor I can plug the Ethernet cable into to make a wifi hotspot.
You can use the cable that you have ran to the Xbox but installing a 4 port wireless router on it and then connect the Xbox to the router

I've an new 4 port Ethernet switch at home you're welcome to if it's of any use.
You need a wifi extender. Available in most hi-tech shops or eBay.

Parcel motel would be cheaper assuming both parties use it.

Looking at it now you'll need something to convert the Ethernet to WiFi as well as this.

not certain if its ideal since I will need something else to convert as you say,pm me what your after for it and I will get back to ya .will try and ask in Harvey norman tomorow
