Folks,
Cheap set of bog standard E46 headlights.
Previous owner of the car change the lights to xenons but there is no manual adjustment or headlight washers on the car, and as a result it's failing the NCT.
PM me if you have a set....North Dublin, ideally!

Is it failing on just alignment as there is manual adjustment on factory xenon lamps!
They're not factory xenons, they previous owner retro fitted them!
Failed as there is no manual adjustment from the drivers seat, and the head light washers are non operational.
They are BMW xenons and the trim must have been replaced below them as the washers are there.
There'd be no issue, if the original lights were in for the test!
Thats weird I could have sworn it was the other way round non xenon cars have manual adjustment dial ranging from 0-3 xenons are self leveling

I didn't know NCT would fail on not having headlamp washers..
Dont think they used to check the washers in the test previously, but arent xenons supposed to have washers?

Maybe the washers need a fuse or something as they aren't working. Investigation needed.
What exactly did ya fail the test on? Take a pic of the sheet!
Havent got it to hand right now, but this is it word for word....
1: Flexible Brake Pipe (Nearside/Front); Frayed / Cut
2: HID Lamps
a) Manual Headlamp Levelling can not be operated from Drivers Seat
b) Mandatory Headlamp Cleaning Device not working
