Company motor Insurance??

No waffle version - "Who does company insurance for a non commercial jeep"???


We bought an X5 through a company just over two years ago.

We then insured it as a company owned vehicle with no problems.

When the first years insurance was running up we discovered that the insurance company would no longer insure it as a company car as they don't do it, they informed us that they had it on their system as a privately owned personnel vehicle and that they made a mistake covering us the first time.

Now at the time we had to renew and just changed the ownership from company to personnel without much of a fuss, I just planned to put it back into the company name for the next renewal,however once again we could not get a quote from anyone to cover a company jeep - non commercial if that makes a difference.

Who insures company vehicles?? Its just driven by two people, mostly me for travelling around the country. Im concious about putting the company asset back into the company name, but theres no point in doing so if it cant be driven due to no insurance.

Liberty Commercial, Im with them since '09, never an issue insuring anything, Ive had everything from M5's to Ford Transits with them.
