E46 318ci 2005 opinions

Hi everyone!
My girlfriend its thinking about changing her car. Currently she is driving mini cooper. I dont know much about 3 series so all opinions will be very helpfull.
We are going to look at 318ci m sport imola red 2005 with 92k miles from car dealer for 5950.

We are kind of petrol family. Hate diesel needs to be petrol. What about 320ci or 325ci??

if U can go over 2.0 liter tax system ,go for 325i ,as 320i has 2.2 engine ,not really difference in tax .so best option is 325i !

325 m54b25 is a fantastic engine! And I've never heard of any major reliability issues with it

Another vote for 325 here there usually cheaper to buy then the 2.0 petrol is well make a great daily driver just under 200bhp great sound and very reliable

Thanks everyone for all help. Now im looking for 325ci and mustbe m sport. There is 1 on donedeal in armagh, silver 2003. Im going for a trip tomorrow to have a look and see how it is.

The only real weak spot on them is the coolant system so budget this into it if its not been changed

Try start it from cold and leave it ticking over while you look around you dont want these overheating get a run on motorway as well as b roads if you can best of luck with the hunt

Darn and there I was going pimping my 320Cd - great choice on the 325, I'd probably swap my yoke for one if the right one came up.

325 is a fantastic car, the coolant system will go as mentioned above, but it's a great engine and the 6 pot will sing.
