Its no more unacceptable than E36's rotting from the inside out.

If it was happening on low mileage youngs cars then it would be seen as a design problem.

This long into the cars life, BMW couldnt care one jot.

I would be interested to know if this was a worldwide issue or something confined to the crappy roads of the UK and Ireland.
It does happen on low mileage cars and the corrosion warranty is ten years on the paint from cars 2003 and up this clearly falls under corrision yet people had to fight to get it done (if they got it done) theres no excuse for it other then shabby workmanship it was poorly made id hate to see what would happen if this was just ignored

I found the e36 to be great with regard to rust mine was 99% rust free it was an irish car though

Common in the u.s so worldwide id say
