    Logbook..

    Morning lads,

Quick one re: logbooks... I'm putting the car in a friends name on Friday but have NCT on Saturday, how will I fare out with needing a logbook for the test? Will they give me a new one on the spot or will I have to wait for it from Shannon?

    RE: Logbook..

Do it straight after NCT and post it then!? Or fill in the paperwork and don't post it until Saturday?

I think once the person on desk sees a registration docket all they want to see is the drivers licence?! In my experience anyway they have never looked at the reg. document but I always let them see I have it, and they just check my licence to prove I am who I say I am!

I've always been asked for logbook and ID

I might bring the logbook from my other navy 96 520i, that and the receipt for payment of tax, chance my arm

I'm assuming you are going to fonthill? If so you should be ok with just showing license! That's where I go all the time and seems fine... but like I said I always have the reg. document in view just purely so they can see it!

Yeah Fonthill, I'm always asked, but we'll see what happens.

Apparently it's only a case of re-visiting with the logbook to get the cert if they're fussy

Failed the test on one or two minor issues - considering I haven't looked over the car in months, but wasn't asked for the logbook, just my driving licence

Sorry to hear it failed! But it least you got it tested without any logbook issue!

My e36 is in for next Saturday week so fingers crossed!
