Window won't go down?

Randomly, had my window half down and tried to put it down further but it just went up instead?!
Now it won't go down at all. The auto drop works when I open the door and I can hear the motor clicking when I try to put it up and it's up fully. Any advice?

Regulator could be fecked. The cables tend to break out of the clips/brackets that attach to the glass. If that's the case there is a cheap fix involving cable ties.

Have had a couple of regulators go on mine too, easy enough fix.

Sounds like a switch. Does the comfort closing work on the key? I.e lock the car, then unlock the car but keep the button pressed and the windows should go down. Vice versa to get them back up. If so I'd say it's the switch.

I was just going to say conor. Didn't try it but I will tomorrow. The switch feels strange. And the whole going up when pushing down and the fact the auto drop/lift works it sounds like the switch. Cheap fix I'm assuming?

Yeah very, just get a switch out of a coupe!

Just checked and the comfort open/ close still works fine so it's the switch. I'll throw a new one in and update

Cool, good result. A switch is an easy fix thankfully. Loads of E46 being broken these days too.
