    My E36 SE Mtech Change

    Hi all,

I'm been struggling with this decision for awhile...whether to turn my 23k mile original SE into a Mtech.

By Mtech I mean from bumper, rear bumper, headliner and side skirts.

The side skirts pose the problem. In my mind, what makes my car a little bit special is the low mileage and the originality of it, every mod that I have made is very easily undone. Giving you a near 20 year old car thats pristine.

BUT....if I go Mtech, I can't undo the holes for side skirts and therefore maintain the originality of it

I really do like mtech though!

    Would like suggestions!

Original M Tech E36s are ten a penny, low miler original SE's aren't.
    I'd keep it SE

Go M-Tech. Can always change back the bumpers and use standard SE skirts instead of twistys.

Will look half assed without the M Tech skirts though.

I think you have changed the car so much away from the original car it was that its up to you now what you would like to see from it

go mtec, stick the sideskits on and screw them from the bottom, cant remember the stuff I stuck my skirts on with but it bonded perfect.it also pulls way from the paint if you need to remove but is hard work to thoroughly get off, anyway the paint will be perfect ad no holes

I would do something interesting like sourcing all the bits for an original AC Schnitzer body kit.

OEM retrofits, as said above, are ten-a-penny and frankly boring.

No I meant go full M-Tech, If he wants to revert to SE style he can just fit original bumpers and SE side skirts.

I think you should M-Tech it, not because I think all e36's should be M-tech kitted but I'd like to see this one done. Just seems like the right thing to do.
