Thread: M42 camshaft sensor.

    M42 camshaft sensor.

    Suspect I may need a camshaft sensor. (to be confirmed)

    It'll need to be from an m42 engine.

    Part number: 12141734813

    To be found in the following cars

    E30 318i Convertible
    E30 318i Sedan
    E30 318is Coupe
    E36 318i Sedan
    E36 318is Coupe

    Looks like this:



    If you have one or know of an m42 being broken please let me know.

    Buy one off eBay mine cost €38 and its perfect.

    M42 camshaft sensor.

    Have a used one there off an M42, car drove into the drive with no problems. Also did a trip across England in same car and no issues. €20 would be the weekend before I get to remove it though.
