    National Skills 2014

    Evening all,

    Is there ant motor mechanics here that have taken part in the National Skills competition before?

    I got a call today for a preliminary exam next Tuesday and have no idea what to expect!

    Was hoping somebody may have done it recently and could give some insight...

    You mean for apprentices ya ?
    I did it Years ago in a different trade (Fitting) . We were brought in and given a very tight time limit to get a certain amount of work done and it had to be perfect
    We had to make parts to a tolerance of .01mm (100th of a milimeter)
    Hard good buzz about it though.
    If you pass that test you go on to the national competition .
