In an ideal world you'd want torque and top end to be near enough 50/50.

Absolutely hate turbo diesels, bags of torque but when you want it to keep going you run out of revs.

A well sorted n/a screamer will always put a smile on your face, having to keep it high up in the revs to stay in the power band. Not great for everyday driving though.

tbh the best car I've ever daily driven was my ls1 ute in australia. best of both worlds,loads of torque and still revved to 6800 odd.
