    And some of the 100 + Neville collection. I was offered any of these before they hit the market. He had another Evo 11 Merc with around 1000 miles on it.

    God almighty........look at those prices. Sub £10,000 E30 M3's and E28 M5's. A 51,000 mile Cecotto for £9,995. Torture is right.

    I remember Cotswold collector cars very well, some amazing stuff there from the Neville collection.

    Unbelievable.... £3650 for an E28 M5. That car, chassis 159, is still alive and very active in the club scene in the UK.

    £8250 for an Evo II......Good god!! I'm guessing that's circa 2000-2001.

    Note also that the cam chain was replaced at 90,000 miles on the E30 M3. That was in the days when the old Munich Legends were spreading false rumours that cam chains needed to be replaced at 100,000 miles. This was true for the M88 engine in the E28 M5 and M635Csi but not the S14 engine in the E30 M3 as it has a dual row timing chain. I think ML made quite a bit of money replacing chains on E30 M3's unnecessarily. When internet forums started to gather momentum they were slated for this practice and lost a lot of credibility as a result.

    It was 2004. Everyone with an E30 M3 started panicking due to the Halse's when their car neared 100k miles.

    I didn't realise that prices were still that cheap in 2004. In 2007 I paid Munich Legends £13,995 for a 48,000 mile E28 M5. At the time people thought it was an insane amount of money for an E28 M5. I should have kept it.
