Double side tape/Plate sticker removal

can anyone give me an easy way of removing all the spongey shite that double sided take leaves under registration plates ?

ive my private plate coming soon for the M5 and i know what mess awaitis me under there so wanna try get prepared to give it a clean off..

Try to heat it up to soften the glue make it more workable, that should help get the heavy stuff off, after that get some make up pads and soak them in tar and glue remover this will help get rid of the smaller bits of glue after the pads are gone :wink:

Petrol on a rag will shift it handily enough

Scalpel + black front bumer + spongey shite = bumper in shit lol

It's works fine iv done it seperates
spongey stuff from the plastic then just wipe away whats left you just need a steady hand

A rag soaked with tar and adhesive remover hasn't let me down yet.

Tar remover will do but first try and peal as much off in one piece, makes life so much easier

Lighter fluid has a lower flash off than petrol etc.
Can get it in deals or somewhere like that for €1.50
Petrol evoporates too quickly and will damage the paint.
if they are the foam ones heat with a hairdryer while pulling them of being careful not to lift paint.
