What is a Revenue Category B vehicle?

A Category B vehicle is a certain type of a car-derived van or a jeep-derived van. In EU terms, a vehicle of classification N1 is generally a Category B vehicle.

The rate of VRT applicable to Category B vehicles, subject to a minimum VRT of €125, is 13.3% of the Open Market Selling Price (OMSP).

Ive no experience with HGV's but any LGV sub 3500kg will be 200 euro, crew cabs and commercial jeeps are different again. After VRT you must have it tested and weighed at an approved weighbridge, then goods declaration from the Guards then tax.

A few hoops to jump through so as usual. I was looking at bringing a crew cab in.

Ring the CVO in Roslare regarding the crew cab, they are grand to deal with, for a government agency, in that they actually answer the phone and have some idea what they are on about.
