Does your laptop have hdmi out (or can do with a hdmi adapter)? TV might be a cheap option.

TV would be a good option, if it for close up work get the highest quality resolution u can afford

It doesn't have hdmi. It's just the blue connection. (Don't know name)

3 years old should be able to do display port or hdmi or dvi - there are hdmi adapters for these. What's the model?
