How's it going? Long time since I've posted at this stage
Ive been on the lookout for a 530d touring for a while and am in a position to buy now.
Have been scouring donedeal and the first car with a bit of promise has just popped up so thought id ask for a few opinions.

Can't seem to get a link to work on phone but it's the most recent 530d. Appears to be sterling grey I think.
Have been chatting with seller. Car has good history and will be sold with nct. It still has the airbags on the rear. One is leaking and he plans to repair it. Would it be Better to just replace with springs?

Its apparently his uncles car so he doesn't know all the work thats been done so im guessing that swirl flaps etc have nt been done.

reg is 03lh5639 if anyone knows the car. The pic on donedeal is not his car. He will be addind proper photos later. Slightly strange but nothing unusual for donedeal I guess.

well i adore em . absolutely love my 2003 E39 525d touring . comfortable nice to drive and unbelievably handy , id honestly find it hard to go back to a saloon . dont expect great mpg though from the auto box max of 35 if you drive miss daisy around i average 32-33 it doesnt really change no matter what i do . other than the air suspension on the back they are the same as any other E39 for reliability


but that ad would ring alarm bells just from the pic he put up . generally if i see a car for sale that doesnt show the reg and only has one pic i figure he has something to hide

Agreed on potentially something to hide. Just a matter of figuring out what it might be.

Go check it out alan everything is worth viewing theres always that chance of that diamond in the rough and considering the number of e39 tourings is miniscule at best everyone of them should be viewed , keep us informed with how you get on
