I am away for a few weeks and car won't be driven, should I disconnect battery or leave it connected. If it matters it's a e39 520.

For what it's worth I didn't drive my car for a month and the battery was fine. I'm back driving it now and there it's no problems.
Before you disconnect it make sure you can open the boot with the key
Yea I got caught out with that before when I last disconnected the battery and slammed the boot shut.it just shows how too much technology, means you have to resort to Google on how to open your boot with a key of all things :wink:Originally Posted by JohnH
Happened to me too, but I had the key in my pocket. Could not open the trunk after I disconnected the battery. Stupid recent e92 don't have a lock no more...Originally Posted by mac7
Had to jump the car to be able to open the trunk again.
