Something very strange is going on with my VIN.
Before I bought my car I asked the previous owner for the VIN to use one of the online decoders such as:
www.bmwvin.com
or
www.bmwarchive.org
But now when I use those same sites with the same VIN number (I now own the car) a whole host of options are missing!
I know this because part of the reason I went to see the car in the first place was because I was able to verify the spec of the car.
Has anyone else experienced this?
These are made by individuals I would not be worried if my car was missing half its options on one site but shows them fine on another one.
Personally when I don use the official bmw one, I use etk.cc
If the problem persists then that is an issue with the bmw ETK database.

Pull up the back seat and see if the original build sheet is there

No mate I've gotta say that was pretty bad... I only noticed when I checked the menu in the cluster and a noticed i'd been using a VIN number 1 digit out since I got the car. I even ordered parts using the wrong VIN lol
