E60 M5 High Rate of Battery Discharge.

Hi lads,

Got this error today on the car, and also the Bluetooth stopped working at the same time.
I assume that this is the IBS playing up, but wont get a chance to have a look at it until tomorrow. Has anybody had this problem and if so, how was it sorted?

Could be anything really. A faulty module could cause this. You need to hook her up to a bmw ddiagnostic system not just standard obd scanner.
I have seen that recently on a 535d, it was due to the oem BT module. Once disconnected the fault was gone. Module died and caused power drain.
Could be ibs too as you pointed that out yourself.

Could be anything as Mick says, some after market device installed? Faulty modes preventing power module shutting down, faulty power module, IBS could be faulty. Saw one today that had a sticking relay in a KGM module in an e60.

check that ur battery is properly registered as in the right capacity ah,,,
also if ur battery has been replaced recently and not coded can cause this or could just be knackered
