    private v commercial

    Bought a transit 10 days ago.logbook arrived today and tax class is private not commercial.got insurance quotes from places who used the van registration to quote without issue.not bothered about tax cost just insurance issue or if it needs nct or doe.have emailed tax office. .anyone here deal with this before

    It needs a DOE... About €116 IIRC.

    My first car was a Fiesta Van, Insured/Taxed private but had to have a DOE.

    I need it insured as a commercial which isn't a issue I think,just when taxing it private I have to put my insurance details in.
