Strange question maybe, but I'm kind of annoyed/lost over the situation...

Myself and one of the lads in the job (Main Dealer) both bought new toolboxes last month and were checking how/if they were insured by the job's insurance policy in case of fire/theft/roof collapse etc and were told the max the workshop is covered for is €2750 per person with a maximum of two people claiming.

We had the insurance broker check with other insurers that they deal with to see if the policy could be upgraded to give better cover and the cover we have is the best that was offered

So this means if the roof fell in, place burned down, or got robbed between 5 mechanics all we could claim for would be €5500! Considering my toolbox cost me €4400 not including the tools worth about €2500 and the other lad in the same boat we're a little uneasy tbh.

Does anybody else in the trade (motor or insurance) know how they are covered for tools in the above situations or what our options are?
