If I bought a car today (25/6/14) from when do I have to start paying the tax from since its out since the end of jan???
I know there are new rules I just wondered will I wait another 5 days to July and get a fresh 3 months?

If you wait until next month, your still liable for this months tax.
"sell" it to a family member / friend and then "buy" it back. Though it may be more the start of August before it gets sorted.

Depends on the car I done it on the e36, couldn't care less personally if theres 100 owners on a car, for something worth money then yes it would be something to consider
If the owner has not sent off the log book Mick as them to hold off until 1st of July

I'm fussy about the number of previous owners so different strokes I guess. How big is the engine?
get the owner to write 1st of july as date of sale on the log book.
