e36 speakers...

Going to be changing over door cars soon on the e36 so might aswell change the speakers in the door while im there. Has anyone done this?

Are these the correct sizes for e36? If so which are the ones in the door, got this from Bimmerforum being American its over explained so am I looking for 5.25" or 2.5" for the door?

Im thinking 2.5 and the 5.25 is the one on the floor near the pedals?

E36 Coupe Standard:

5.25" Front Midbass
2.5" Front Midrange
~5/8 Front Tweeter
4" Rear Midbass - Inside Enclosure
~5/8 Rear Tweeter - Inside Enclosure

The speakers down at the kick plates are 13cm if I remember correctly, I didn't bother with the tweeters in the doors and replaced the rears with decent 6x9's. I also got a stereo with a decent in built amp, does me, and big improvement over stock

EDIT: I had poverty spec speakers, only 6 including tweeters

Check the size already fitted, I know it sounds silly but I changed door cards and got no speakers with them, and when I fitted my own speakers, the hole in door card was too small!! so had to widen them out, so the opposite could happen too where the holes in cards are too big!!

5" footwell/2.5" for tweeters in doors

2.5" are not common at all.
