As above, I've searched for a DIY I could understand on this topic,
but can't find anything that helps. Has anyone sorted non working
rear washer on their E46 Compact? (all 3 of ye)

Don't have an E46 compact but whats actually wrong? The spray nozzle isn't working? Just check the pump? Then if that is working take the nozzle off and spray with that. If there is water coming out of the pipe then you know where your problem is.Originally Posted by Don B
If it's the wiper then just test the motor for power. If there is no power check the loom going from the car into the boot door and the fuses. If there is power your motor is probably seized so just replace.
Thanks, yeah its a difficult one, the washer (not wiper) isn't spraying water.
Bottle is full and when the stalk is pushed, the motor makes the usual noise.
The rear bottle is separate, and by the look of it, it might take alot of removing
trim panels etc. Wanted to know what I was doing before I started
In any event, will try give it a bash at the weekend
I'd start with the bottle. Take the pipe off the motor and see if it is actually spraying water. Then move onto the other side of the pipe and see if water comes out there when disconnected. Or the other way around if that is easier. Good luck.
