Gearbox Repairer Recommendation

Our main car is a Volvo XC90. The Geartronic transmission control valve chest needs to be replaced . I have been ringing around to find a good alternative to the exorbitant price being quoted by a main Volvo dealer. The Universal Gearbox Centre is coming up with the best deal and they have done similar repairs before on other XC90's. Has anybody had any previous experience of using Universal? Their bona fides seem very good and I want to double check as it is not at all a cheap repair.

Universal reconditioned a box on a mk2 GTI 16v golf for me years ago and the job was faultless. They have recently reconditioned the auto box on the mothers Jag again with no complaints so far :wink:
