Ah the rear casing has been cracked at some stage and repaired with a glue gun.
I bought replacement aluminium adjusters for the lamps but when I took the passenger one out, that is when I discovered the damage. The headlamp is actually in good nick, I'd just prefer to replace it with one in perfect condition.
