    320d K&N cold air intake.

I Was just wonder what peoples thoughts are on this

    http://www.bennetts.com/kn-apollo-universal-closed-intake-systems/kn-57a-6042-performance-intake-kit-bmw-320d-e90-e91-20d-163bhp-2218162-418330-832529.php

I know I can get the direct replacement K&N filter that's good but I will be getting the centre box removed soon and was thinking this might help add some more growl behind the sound as well as the performance increase.

this one in picture definitely not cold air intake ,and no performance .its probably even worst as was oem air box ,as it will get only very hot air . im nearly sure u dont need anything more difficult - fancy stuff for more power . the good replacement K@N filter would be perfect ,the only performance in this style filter is - sound ,and it might be annoying u in near future . get de-cat if its not fitted yet ,and its very difficult to get nicer sound from diesel .i m really happy with Eisenmanns exhaust on my E39

Exactly the feedback I needed thanks Valdelis.

I'll stick with the K@N filter then.

If I decat with no mid box or rear silencers, will I get pigeons living in the exhaust though ?

Sorry but that sounds awful IMO. You have a lovely refined BMW, I can't understand why you'd want to make it sound louder like an old tractor.

Performance exhausts and induction only belong on petrol engines IMO.

    Just my 2c..
