E92 335i lumpy start, then CEL, white smoke

So i jumped in the 335i this morning to head to work and for the first time is started really rough, stuttering and shaking. It eventually knonked out and the CEL came on.

I tried to start it again and a load of white smoke spewed out of the driver side exhaust pipe.

I'm thinking it could be the injectors which are notorious on the 335i and even had a recall in the US. I'm thinking the white smoke could be unburnt fuel from a leaky injector. There had also been an audible ticking noise since i've had it which i thought was somewhat normal.

Its still under warranty so i'll bring it to the dealer but looking for some opinions first.

There's an exhaust solenoid that can stick which could cause your vanos code. Usually the passenger side exit on exhaust only opens when choke drops as well so that's why it's all coming out the drivers side! As for the white smoke:/ I'm not sure! Sorry!
