    Fuel pump woes

What would stop my fuel pump getting 12 volts?
Car is broke down now at the minute.
Was running poorly about 2/3 of the power now it's not running at all.
I swapped the fuel pump just to try another one but that's not working either.
    Lost this came from nowhere.

Still won't start with the fuel pump running
Airlocked? Even so have just jumping at the relay to get the fuel pump to cycle. Swapped with the relay that's the same no joy ;'(

No alarm not affecting it. Will cycle when I jump the pins at the relay.

That doesn't mean alarm won't affect it, if alarm cuts control signal to relay. If it is also cutting power to ecu that might explain no start even when pump running.

Would throttle position sensor cause this? One of my sensors has always been fairly noisy.

Nope shouldn't do. Here's a stupid question but is there any fuel in it?

Also do you have a spark?

I bought a e39 few weeks ago that had same symptoms.the guy couldn't start it.he tried everything.i bought it for a parts car but when I bought it the battery was very low so I removed and fitted mine the next day.thr car started first turn and runs perfect .been told bad batterys can cause issues too.
