    NCT recently?

Anyone put their car through the NCT recently? Specifically anyone with mods like brakes / suspension etc. Seems that a engineers report is now required for these and people are failing - curious if anyhones been impacted, have the M3 and E30 to put through this month.

Yeah thats what I read alright - I can kind of see why they'd fail someone who has removed their airbag. Was more curious as to see whats happened to lads on coilovers, BBK's etc

What classifies as a modification though? Where is that line drawn?

Any non standard brakes, suspension, steering components. Its going to be down to the testers discretion in a lot of case I reckon.

Would it not just be TUV certs for coilovers, BBKs etc... ? (Don't germany do this already?)

Would rule out the Chinese replica crap which I would be in favour of.

Safety is paramount but these people pass cars that should not pass. Their discretion could be considered questionable at best.

Just on this, what's the difference between a spurious part and a mod?

Eg, an back box from Fast Fit Exhausts on a Polo v an Eisenmann on an M3??

Mine went through in August with coilovers and nothing was said.
