That was a petrol one right? Same with the compact..had the chain changed as I didn't want it to let go and cost a lot more. Job on the petrol is cheaper than the diesel though I think?

If I bought a 2.0 diesel I'd want a dealer warranty I think, or proof the chain was done
Yep petrol donal could be because the chain is at the front of the block easier access


Makes diesels seem a little pointless to be honest whatever you save buying diesel at the pumps is easily outweighed by a dpf failure chain snapping new turbos or a handfull of injectors need replacing

Its scary actually how fragile new bmws are

Stolen easy - check
Ride is sh*** due to rft's - check
Modules failing - check
Timing chains weak - check
Dpfs,turbos,injectors failing - check

But no doubt i will buy another and another after that as for the money they are the best available even with bags of issues they are starting to turn into the alfa romeos of the car world great when running right
