F10 - Matt Aluminium Trim Option?

Hi all,

Just ordered a 2015 F10 in black (they've discontinued the colour I have so I'm not paying for a colour I don't like) - one of the options was "Matt Aluminium Trim"....

What exactly is it?

I think its maybe metal strips on the door handles but honesty I have no idea what it is?

I think it's the metal around the top of the doors and bottom of the widows. A lot of e92 coupe's have it. People usually mistake it for chrome but it's actually brushed aluminium. Most folk prefer the black shadowline trim it's more popular.

Edit: it's also the interior trim on dash and gear stick surround and internal door trim which is what I think you mean after re-reading your post!

What a complete waste of money that was - Let me confirm that the Matt Aluminium Trim Option of circa €450 is the window trim only and doesn't include the door handle trims.. If I'd never selected it I would have got the standard which looks exactly the same..arghh

Bit of a racket and sin of omission that the dealer wouldn't make a call and say are you sure you want this... Learn from my mistake..

Otherwise car is perfect - looking forward to the new one coming out mid/late 2016.
