    Bmw Diagnostics

On the look out for cheap and cheerful bmw Diagnostics

All i want to be able to do is read faults and reset service and airbag lights on e36 bmws mainly 318tds ones

Any advice or links on a half decent one?

Depends on spec. Diagnostics software typically isn't resource hungry

If you want to experiment, buy a cable from China. I got my VCDS 12(VAGCOM) cable and software from China, no problems whatsoever.
I just checked AliExpress and you can get INPA with K+DCAN for around $15 with free shipping.
If your buying an illegal copy like the bcables one you may as well go the whole hog and get the cheapest from China.

I am using a cableshack set up.on.an old xp laptop works the finest. EBay seller will even do remote setups as there is a lot of fcuking about to get system running. Cost was around 35 euro for disc and cable
