    Another V8 N62B44 back to the life project

    This week got one more V8 N62B44 project , oil leak all around and valve oil stem seal problem .these are very common to mentioned above problems . Any later V8 are known for valve stem seals fail every 60k mls and other oil leak as rocker cover gaskets , chain cover gaskets , velve stem selas , alternator housing gasket leak ,doenst matter if it has cooled alternator or not cooled ,they still has same gasket onder engine mount ,between egine block and alternator bracket housing ,vanos solenoid O rings , vacum pump O ring and few other small o ring leak .ill post some pictures how looks N62 engine just after 60k mls ,all these mentioned rubber gaskets gets in to stone and dont do their job anymore .

    vanos solenoid O ring and cooler housing gasket change

    after some wash and back in one peace with new gaskets

    Excellent write up and great pictures!

    Would an S62 be prone to the same issues?

    i would say very similar ,just vanos units different as most M and non M engines has . but valve stem seals more common on N engines ,very easy to check,leave car to run on idle for few minutes and then acceperatebnegine few times over mid range revs ,blue smoke means valve stem seals gone and dont hold-clean oil from valve ,it gets to combustion chamber and its burned with petrol ,wont really be noticed when car is on the road ,only under heave revving and if somebody is following from the back

    its not so easy :wink: ,get Your hands in so difficuilt and very carefull job ,answer the phone ,smile to everybodies questions ,answer about 10 questions a day where is park west ,where is bewleys hotel ,get phone to get some shots and still to do the job perfect . i stayed till late last nigts in my place with this work as i couldnt do it properly on day hours :huh: as only after hours nobody disturbs my attention
