    hydro handbreak problem

Fitted a hydro to the drift car and its fairly shit imo.

Bleed it up properly and is piped correctly and new rear pads fitted.

Problem is it takes a serious pull to lock up the rear you would want to be a body builder to use it.

    What did i do wrong?

It sounds like there may still be air in the system, did you use a vacuum bleeder?

    What size is the cylinder?

If its .625 itll be useless. You need at least a .7 or .75

Cant remember which one I have in mine, Ill check in the morning for you.

it should be stamped into the side of the cylinder. From what Ive seen, a lot of the cheap hydro 'kits' (cylinder, brackets and handle) have a .7 cylinder.

To be honest I reckon the cheap cylinders are just dirt, a proper cylinder (willwood, girling, obp) aren't that dear, around 50 quid or thereabouts I think.

A .625 has a smaller bore size………the smaller the bore the more pressure exerted in the lines.

A .7 has a bigger bore………. it'll move a bit more fluid but it won't exert the same pressure because its a bigger bore.

    Make sense?
