    How to check Engine Number?

    Hi Guys,

Wondering if there is a standard way of checking the Engine Number (for example "N47") on BMWs?

    Thanks in advance,
    Cheers

RE: How to check Engine Number?

Hi if you could take the last 7 digits of the vin from the bottom left hand corner of the windscreen (passenger side) and enter it into a vin check site this will not only tell you the engine but the original build sheet of the car colour, interior all factory spec options etc

I cant remember it off the top of my head but i think its bmwvin.com or something like that

Oh and welcome to the site
