Cough Audi Cough

Have to explain first, the missus was in a pretty serious crash a few months back and wrote off her car. She's well on the mend now but the search is beginning for a replacement car for her.

Lately she's been spying Audi A5s but she has started to look at A4s now too, and although I've no real time for them as most look felt-spec she found a white A4 with a 2litre diesel B8 (I think) engine! It's a 2008 but has 110k kilometres on it and a private sale and the seller is saying €14750 firm! This price sound about right? Seems a little rich to me! Anyone driving one with that engine?

Not a hope of getting a good b8 Audi a4 with 110 km for 8 grand they are a sought after car and the 2 litre Diesel engine in them is very reliable and economical I'd say you'd pick up a good 08 one for 11-12 with service history and average miles s lines still make a couple of grand more

So a b8 s-line would be one to go for? Is the b8 2.0 diesel is the 170brake engine then? Close on 15k still seems steep though especially from private sale. Also, I'm presuming the b8 can be got in the a5 too?

I can't answer your question but B8 is the A4 model not the engine

No worries, A lad I worked with had an 07 170bhp a4 and all the injectors had to be replaced for $$. The 140 bhp was meant to be a better motor in the previous model but that may have changed with the newer model. Dave would be the lad to ask about all things VAG

I recently bought one, but mines a 1.8 turbo petrol, beautiful car, very happy with it. That car might be slightly over priced alright but there's no way you'll get one for 8-9k, the older model b7s are still making that money
