This belongs to Neil aka "tonto" SPEEDHUNTER THREAD HERE

It has gone through some work over the past few months and is heading for a show on Monday up North so wanted it nice and fresh. As per Jap white paint it had turned more of a creamy shade, bit dull in spot but very little in the way of general swirling and RDS's

So on arrival:

Very dusty from sitting around while the work was been carried out

So onto the wash stage:

Given a lightly foamed but heavy degreasing mix of snow foam

We then refoamed and done all the gaps and shuts to get rid of any hidden dirt

Car was then rinsed down and washed using the 2 bucket method as always, detarred with TAR CLEANSE, deironised with IRON CLEANSE and clayed. Refoamed rinsed and dried to be taken in for polishing.

Tar removal (Tar Cleanse clings and breaks down tar better then anything we've ever used)

Deironised

Refoamed

So onto the polishing:

Paint depths were taken of the bonnet to see what we had to work with, not bad for jap paint

Little lower

Test section on the bonnet, bottom right corner done, you can clearly see the difference in colour and its hard to get across in picture!!!!

50/50

Car was then taken back outside, refoamed and washed to strip any oils from the polish to help the sealant bone better to the paint, tyres and wheels cleaned and car was then dried.

50/50 of exterior trim

Finished

Afters

Car was sealed with a sealant and not a wax, sealant usually works better on lighter coloured cars HEREs what we used great product and dont let the name put you off. Very cheap for what it is and does.

The KEY to the car haha
