Had my car declared off the road until December, I want to declare it off the road now for another Month or 2 but i was told I must pay a minimum of 3 months tax and arraers if there is any to be paid. I can't tax my car because it's not insured at the moment either.? How can any1 see a way around this? No point insuring it cause I won't be driving it, and can't tax it or declare it off the road because of this?
You have two options (a) sell it to your brother and tax it or (b) just stick your out of date insurance policy no. In it will work
You don't need insurance to tax it. Unless you want to 'sell' it and 'buy' it back, you'll need to put some tax on it.
Do they still give a refund for tax like they used to?
Thanks GarI was thinking of "selling it" alright seems the easiest. Will the out of date insurance work for me so? What about expirey date? Will I have to change that too or put down what's on the disc?
Just change the year honestly i dont think it even matters they just want your cash they dont care after that

I got my self that notice ,but nothing better to know your self about its renewal
