E46 Saloon Bootlid Wiring Fix

Hi all, wondering has anyone a DIY for fixing the wiring going to the boot lid on my E46?

Or, anyone able to help out or know where'd be able to sort it for me?

Boot only opens on the key and rear reg bulbs don't work when the boot is closed, but do when it's open. Can also hear the boot lid button working when the boot lid is open.

Yep have fixed plenty of them

E46, E39, E90, E60 all suffer this fate, brittle & cracked wires.

If the wires short out enough times then modules can also shut down circuits.
You can only reset the modules using Tool32.

I had an issue like yours on my car. Its easy to fix, the wires are prone to damage in the boot trunking....remove the trunking and see if you can find a damage wire. Usually that is where the problem is.
