    Cost estimate?

My car has developed a humming noise from the back left wheel which I think is the bearings. Roughly, how much am I looking at to get it fixed at a garage? Would it be advisable to do both sides of the axel or is it OK to replace just one side?
    Thanks
    Brian

Back is a press in job but you can do it with a hammer using the old bearing as a drift. Bearing itself is very cheap. I wouldn't bother replacing both to be honest. I did back left a few years ago the other three are still perfect.

That's good to know, thanks. I know my limits when it comes to working on the car so I'll get it done by a garage.
