e39 remote central locking issue

Its beginning to sound like it has to be honest as the central locking is still working , did you have any alarm issues before hand like bonnet sensor giving trouble or anything like that

Ya I did when I first bought the car. It would be locked for not even ten mins and the alarm would go nuts .. Turned out to be the bonnet sensor.

Edit: actually one last thing would you have access to another e46 or e39

No not really I'm the only one around the place with a bmw :P I'll test the receiver, its more than likely the problem.. Do you if you can change them between cars or do they have to coded in?
